Guest List-Knowing Who to Invite

By Simon Andrew

When making a guest list there are many factors that you have to consider. Some of the questions you have to ask yourself include:

1.) Who is the party for?

2.) Why are you holding the party?

You should thus invite the right people to the party because inviting the wrong people will ruin the party that you had planned for. If you are organizing a party for another person then you should ask him to give you a list of people who will be invited to attend it. If it is a formal party such a wedding, then there are particular individuals who must be invited to the party. If it's a new baby's baptism party, you have to invite close relatives if you have no wish to arouse bad feelings in the family. There are some individuals that must be invited to the party depending on what you are celebrating.

Small dinner parties and any other party that is an intimate affair demand that you invite friends to the party based totally on how they mingle. For instance, if your closest friend and your sister do not get along with each other, then it will be unwise if you invite them to the party. They will not enjoy the party since they don't get along with one another unless they're put in two separate party rooms. Likewise, consider the dynamics of the group or business co-workers you are inviting for a dinner party before adding them to the guest list. Consider the relationship that exists between the guests you want to invite because if they do not get along with one another during the party, then the party will end up being disastrous.

If you're holding a bachelorette party it's important to take your time in planning and knowing the right folks to send bachelorette party invitations card. If you're having a party for teens you have to take additional caution. You have to consider the possibility that some of them will carry illegal substances and therefore you have to assign adults to manage them.

There are those guests who were not invited and they will want to sneak their way in. To avoid this, you must get an adult at the entrance door so that he/she checks the names of guests invited before they are permitted to enter the party. If the name of any individual is not in the list they should not be permitted to enter.

If you are planning to host a surprise party for a member of your family, then you have to invite close friends of your family. Consider also inviting other people that family member would want to attend the party. You should make the party surprise by leaving her or him in suspense. For instance, you can select one person to welcome the honoured guest at a time when each invited guest arrives.

The guest list is one way of getting prepared for a party. This is the first thing that should come in mind when planning the party because you, your friends and the guests invited should enjoy it. However, if you invite the wrong guests the party will go sour regardless of how hard you try.
