The City of Bristol is the south wests largest cultural centre. Due to its southern position, it is the sunniest, warmest City in the UK. Bristol is renowned for its high-quality eateries, great shopping facilities and cracking choice of activities.

First-class transportation links make it a highly accessible location to get to and travel around. Bristol has its own airport, several mainline railway stations, excellent motorway links and great public transport.

Bristol has fascinating architecture with a range of property styles from Medieval to 21st Century. There are several theatre locations including the Bristol old Vic and the Hippodrome. Bristol's city museum and art gallery is also very popular with visitors.

Annual events in the area include the International balloon fiesta and several music and food festivals. With such a great variety of places of interest and activities it can be difficult to know where to start.

Anyone seeking a quality meal at an affordable price, you will be pleased to find that the whole City is literally crammed with all kinds of cafes and restaurants competing for business. Due to Bristol being so incredibly diverse, you can find a variety of dishes from just about any part of the globe represented here.

A visit to Bristol's Old City, would not be complete without a trip to St Nicholas Market, the oldest in the entire city. This vibrant marketplace is the ideal location for shopping and something to eat. There are stalls selling arts and crafts, a farmers market and the interesting monthly 'Slow Food Market'. This market is the perfect place for food fanatics who cannot bear fast food! Traders sell a top quality selection of cheeses, ciders, meats and so on, which have been (slowly) and carefully produced with artisan techniques. You can sample products and talk to traders about the methods they employ.

Not far from here, is the newly regenerated Harbourside, which has become a popular centre of culture and heritage. Whether you want a bar, cafe or restaurant, there is a fantastic choice of establishments to be found here. The municipal park at Queen Square is a beautiful location. It is a particularly great spot for when the weather is good and many outdoor theatre and concert events are hosted here too.

You will never be far away from a great place to eat, wherever you find yourself in Bristol. There will always be something new to try. Be it something exotic, or straightforward food that you adore. Bristol is a total haven for food lovers.
