Distributing Christmas Cards Without Catching Yourself In A Rush

By Alaric Sowerby

You could have observed from previous year's experience that distributing greeting cards can be a very tiring thing to do. You think about around fifty or more people whom you would be sending thank you or greeting cards. Therefore, in case you don't prepare for your yearly card-giving endeavor, you may perhaps find yourself in a hurry. However you may prevent this trouble from occurring by accomplishing your homework, which includes the following:

Make a listing of recipients

Seriously, you can't leave somebody out. You were able to dispatch 70 greeting cards to different persons and realized you forgot to give one to your close neighbor and four other friends. Now, you cannot say to them "Oh, I am really sorry, but I'll send you one in a while" when it's already New Year's Eve. The right thing is to make a thorough list of persons that are important to you. This must be made a few weeks just before sending out the Christmas greeting cards. To do this, try listing down all of your close neighbors, friends, colleagues, family, and others. Under the "others" list you could include the milk truck driver or your ex-lover, if you want to.

Choose your materials

Deciding on the material, the color, and design depends upon your preference. This is where your uniqueness is manifested. Do not buy a bundle of stationery only because your colleague went on purchasing one last week. Pick your own design. Create it your way. You could definitely spend occasional walks into shops that market greeting cards for all seasons. You may decide to get just one style of greeting card for all or you may decide depending on who you're sending them out to.

Have a specific time frame to make them

Whilst you may do the greeting cards prior to night time or in your spare time during a weekend, please do not do it while at work, particularly if it's a disruption to your duty. Personalized Christmas cards might demand some more time so be sure that you buy cards and make them weeks just before you plan to give them out. If ever you do it upon haste on the 23rd of December, you have a great likelihood of overlooking some people.

Be personal

Greeting cards are a medium of expressing your kind feelings and thoughts. A modest "Merry Christmas" is okay yet you could be more friendly by leaving a few words. For example, you may write a message to a co-worker on how you love sharing coffee time with them. Say to your acquaintance just how much you liked your recent shopping spree with them. Tell your partner exactly how happy you are on your 5th, 15th, or 25th Christmas together. Express just a few simple yet sincere thoughts. If you're a manager or a supervisor, show how thankful you are of your workforce through business Christmas cards, that may be added with gifts or bonus cash.

Needless to say, don't forget to get your name marked on the card. You can't leave your recipients wondering.
