Dark Fiction Is Another Term For Horror

Dark fiction is a kind of fiction, which comprises stories filled with horror. It is genre of writing that has thrill, suspense and horror. It can be referred as another synonym of horror. Basically, in any given horror book there are numerous elements. These are horror, suspense or a combination of both. The authors and writers have their own way of writing these stories. Whatever their writing style is, they must include components of supernatural horror and fear.

The very name dark is associated with things that are vague, fearful and ambiguous. Generally, in these types of books, the stories do not have a definite ending. Since long the authors were limited to including horror in their books. However, this concept has changed with due course of time.

The authors have introduced several kinds of transformations. The idea is to cross the barriers of an ordinary dark fiction writing style. This and dark fantasy have the same meaning. They can be used in place of each other.

These consist of stories that include, fear, suspense, thriller and ambiguity. In most stories, there is narration from the point of view of the ghost or a main character. Both the experienced and new authors have introduced variations in this type of literature.

The latest books are aimed at keeping the readers engaged right from the beginning. This automatically has increased the number of readers. As the readers have increased, so has the demands of these types of books. Authors are well prepared before writing these types of books.

Although the stories are same, they have different endings and still are unique. These endings could be happy, sad or confusing. It depends on the reader, whether they seek pure dark fiction or something more than that. Readers wanting to understand all aspects of human emotions must read these scary books at least once!
