Indianapolis Top Attractions

When planning a visit to Indianapolis, be sure to do your studies and map out everything you won't need to miss. There are that many things worth doing in Indianapolis such as zoos, museums, historical sites and cultural areas. Maximise your trip by planning carefully.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum

Found at the site of the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway is their Hall-Of-Fame museum. This is a must have for any race fan. Experience the history of automobiles, racing, the winner's trophies and even better over 75 winning automobiles driven by the Indianapolis 500's best driver's. Take a bus tour around the track and get a full view of the oval driven by your favourite race car drivers.

Indianapolis Zoo

Among the many attractions in Indianapolis is the Indianapolis Zoo. It offers a viewing of over 1,500 examples living on 64 acres in White River State Park. The zoo hosts special events, adventure tours, a botanical garden and even hosts an overnite experience for the whole family. Some of the most well-liked attractions include the Dolphin Adventure and the Sea exhibit. Lucas Oil Stadium

Lucas Oil Stadium is home to the Indianapolis Colts. There is much more than a game to take in at the stadium such as visiting the museum, enjoying the tailgating tent with a full menu, shopping at the shop, live entertainment and the Fan Zone. Fan Sector is a family fun center that has games to grab all the family. If you're planning to be in Indianapolis between Aug and January, be totally certain to take in a game. Eagle Creek Park and Nature Preserve

The Eagle Creek Park and Nature Preserve features over 5,000 acres of water and dry land. There are enough activities offered for the family to stay and savour a full day. Except for the nature hikes, biking and fishing that many parks have on offer , Eagle Creek also presents you with windsurfing, swimming and sailing. There's a trattoria and concession stand available or feel free to bring a picnic lunch. Dogs are welcome and have their own ball park. Load the car and enjoy a day with the family at Eagle Creek Park and Nature Preserve.

Mass Ave Arts District

Mass Ave Arts District, commonly known as Mass Ave is a humanities and theater district that takes up a five block radius in the centre of the town. The neighborhood offers live theater, art galleries, eclectic shops and many restaurants to please your cultural palette. If antiquing is your thing, you'll find a few shops to flick thru. While on Mass Ave, be sure to take notice of the significant design of the area.
